“I have seen more pen and paper going around this office than I have seen at any office anywhere. It sometimes took weeks to respond to quotes - not where we wanted to be, so we completely overhauled that with SalesPatriot. Now we can basically respond to quotes same day"

Augie Fabela

President of Aurora

In this episode of the SalesPatriot Podcast, Nelson Ray, CEO, returns to where it all began: Aurora Defense Group. While working as Chief of Staff, Nelson saw firsthand the paper-based sales and procurement processes the industry ran on, and the need for automation became clear. Backed by Augie, President of Aurora and a longtime family friend, Nelson built the first MVP, which today operates across 30+ companies, all with a mission to deliver the critical components our front-line operators rely on.

Aurora Defense Group (ADG), previously Aurora Cord and Cable, is located in Aurora, IL. Founded in 1966 with the premise of making the highest quality vehicular lighting products, the company has spent over 60 years manufacturing vehicular lighting systems, electro-mechanical systems, and wire harnesses for the Department of Defense and major vehicle suppliers to the military.

ADG's customer base includes A.M. General, Oshkosh Corporation, General Dynamics, BAE, Lockheed Martin, and other major suppliers of military vehicles. Its products are produced under the ISO 9001:2015 quality system and AS9100, and the company has received the Recognition for Excellence Award from the Defense Supply System and the Outstanding Readiness Award from the U.S. Government.

With team members averaging over 20 years of manufacturing experience, ADG produces headlights, taillights, marker lights, clearance lights, main lighting switches, and other electro-mechanical assemblies, supporting the best military vehicles in the world and the men and women in service who drive them.
